How Do You Enroll at THE MATH SET?

  • Contact THE MATH SET to request an application and provide initial information.
  • Complete and return the APPLICATION and REQUEST FOR SCHEDULE forms and provide appropriate records to THE MATH SET.
  • Schedule a Mathematics diagnostic assessment, if indicated. Because of the sequential nature of mathematics, it is imperative that a student's foundation be determined. Therefore, students in first grade through Algebra I attending THE MATH SET must be evaluated. If a more advanced student has a history of difficulty in math, that student must also be assessed. A student may be evaluated informally, which provides a verbal report, or formally, which offers a verbal and written report. A more detailed description of the math assessment is included with the application. Assessments are also available in language arts.
  • Confer with the evaluator for the assessment results. With your permission, THE MATH SET will also contact the school to share the results of the assessment and coordinate the instructional program.
  • Plan the instructional schedule. Students receive a monthly statement indicating the confirmed appointments and payable fees. Fees are payable the first session of each month for that month's instruction. A fee schedule is included with the application. THE MATH SET has a 24-hour cancellation policy.
